A large ultra lightweight catamaran built from practical and proven renewable materials.

Style:  Radical; uniquely identifiable, and exceptionally seaworthy.
The boat is not just a catamaran with solar panels. It is a very special, unique, ocean going, dedicated solar boat, capable of a day-after-day sustainable speed of 10 knots, and a maximum speed of well over 20 knots. Practical for a single-handed voyage, the boat could carry groups of 12 or more for local or day trips.

Displacement: To obtain the essential speeds at sea the boat will displace no more than 7500 Kg in full set up voyaging mode.

The boat will be built, prepared, fitted out and "proofed", including the testing of the sophisticated software programmes responsible for the ultimate solar efficiency of the drive system, in Europe.

The boat can be re-positioned to accomodate sponsors and media before crossing the traditional circumnavigation start line – Ushant to Lizard Point at the mouth of the English Channel.
